Professional Learning Networks
I’m starting my second year as a third grade Bilingual Teacher, focusing on Math and Science, and I haven’t yet built a strong network of fellow educators. I’m determined to change that as I progress through the ADL Program and my teaching career. My aim is to connect with meaningful networks where I can contribute valuable insights and gain useful resources to enhance our students’ learning experiences and their ability to learn effectively.
I’ve been actively participating in various professional learning networks to enhance my teaching skills and stay updated with innovative ideas. I’m part of several social media accounts, including Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, where I find intriguing classroom ideas and contribute to discussions. Additionally, I’m a member of a WhatsApp group of bilingual teachers from my home country, Venezuela, where we exchange valuable insights. I am also a member of a collective that allows me to exchange ideas with all the third-grade teachers at my workplace. Recently, I’ve been engaging with my ADL team, and it’s been an incredible experience. Our discussions and words of encouragement have been instrumental (especially during those challenging Literature Review times lol).
