LEARNING MINDSET
During this course, I was in charge of my own learning journey, and I had the freedom to create meaningful projects that used new technology to bring about positive changes at my workplace. I also came up with a plan to promote a growth mindset at my job, expressed my personal learning beliefs through a manifesto, and told others about the learning groups I’m a part of.
Additionally, I worked closely with my classmates on a discussion board where we regularly talked about our readings, watched videos, and discussed various projects together.
As I progress in this program, my goal is to maintain a growth mindset when I receive feedback and guidance from both my peers and my professor. I see this feedback as an opportunity to learn and grow, and I don’t view “failures” as setbacks but rather as chances for improvement.
I’m excited to continue having the freedom to make choices, take ownership, and express my thoughts in meaningful learning settings (known as COVA) as I complete my other coursework. I believe that I’ll become even more comfortable with the level of control I have over my own learning in the future.
This program is not only teaching me about the CSLE + COVA approach from a teacher’s point of view, but it’s also allowing me to experience this approach as a learner, which is very valuable.
